Start with safety
If anyone is injured, seek medical help. After a road accident, stop safely and contact the police as appropriate. Exchange details with any other driver and record what happened when it is safe to do so.

Keep the information your insurer may need
Note the time and location, people and vehicles involved, witnesses, the investigating officer and any photographs of damage. For property losses, keep repair estimates, receipts and details of affected items.

Speak with the claims team
Report an incident to Brysons as soon as you can, even if you are unsure whether you will claim. Your own policy controls the reporting deadline and required forms, so confirm these directly with the team rather than using a general timetable.
